Which Aqara Products Are Available in Malaysia? How to Check Before You Order

A row of small white smart-home devices — a square hub, a round presence sensor and a keypad lock panel — laid out on a tiled ledge beside a window in a Malaysian apartment, showing the range of hardware a buyer is actually choosing between

Answer up front — A product page on Aqara's own website proves that a product exists, not that it is supplied in Malaysia. Aqara publishes regional sites for places such as Europe and the US but none for Malaysia or Southeast Asia, so availability here has to be confirmed with the local distributor. Established hubs, sensors, locks and switches are usually straightforward to confirm. The newest 2026 products, including the FP400 presence sensor, the Edge Hub M300 and the Aqara Studio family, should be treated as "confirm with us" until Synchroweb tells you otherwise. Synchroweb Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is the official Aqara distributor in Malaysia.

Aqara's catalogue is broad, and its website is organised by region rather than by market. Its global site links to regional versions for Europe, the United States and other areas, and none of them cover Malaysia. That makes availability genuinely hard to research from scratch. You can read a full specification page, watch a launch video and still not know whether the product can be bought and supported here this month.

This page exists because the comparison guides elsewhere on this site recommend specific models. If one of those recommendations is wrong for your situation, the fault is ours rather than yours, so here is how to check before you order and which products deserve a question first.

Why a product page is not proof of availability

Three things are true at once, and they are easy to mix up.

  • The product exists. Aqara announces and documents products globally. A launch event or a product page tells you what a device does.
  • The product is sold in a region. Aqara decides, product by product, which regions each product is sold in. Its own documentation lists sales regions for some products.
  • The product is supplied and supported in Malaysia. That is a separate question, answered by the local distributor and its channel.

A page can satisfy the first without the second or third. That is not a criticism of Aqara. It is how a global product line rolls out, and it is why the local answer matters.

Which newer products to confirm first

Some products are new enough that the safe default is to ask before you design around them. This table records what Aqara itself has published, and what to do about it.

ProductWhat Aqara has publishedWhat to do
Spatial Multi-Sensor FP400Announced for global availability on 16 September 2026, with retail channels listed for Aqara's own store and several European countries, Canada and the US. Malaysia is not in that listAvailability in Malaysia: confirm with us
Edge Hub M300Aqara's documentation lists its sales regions as Chinese Mainland, North America, Europe and RussiaIt has not been listed as a Malaysian-channel product. Confirm with us
Aqara Studio and Studio ConnectA platform and software family described in Aqara's documentationAvailability and licensing in Malaysia: confirm with us
2026 lighting range (Floor Lamp T1, LED Downlight T2, LED Strip T2, Outdoor and Permanent Outdoor Lights H1)Announced at IFA 2026, with pricing and availability "to be announced"Availability in Malaysia: confirm with us
Camera Hub G350, Doorbell Camera G400, Smart Lock U400, Thermostat Hub W200Recent 2026 releasesAvailability in Malaysia: confirm with us

For anything that is not on this list, such as established hubs, sensors, locks, switches and cameras, the question is usually a quick one. Ask us for the exact model and we will confirm its current status.

Five things to check before you order any Aqara device

  1. The exact model and version. Many Aqara products come in regional variants. Malaysia uses UK Type G sockets and 230 V mains, so wall switches, plugs and outlets need the Southeast Asia or UK versions. A device made for another region's wall box or voltage is not a bargain.
  2. The hub it needs. Zigbee devices need an Aqara hub. Thread and Matter devices have their own controller rules, and some new sensors work only with specific hubs and firmware. The hub comparison and the hub compatibility matrix cover this.
  3. How it fits your door, wall box or existing setup. Aqara does not publish door thickness ranges for its locks, so a lock needs a site check. The lock comparison explains why.
  4. Who supports it. Warranty and technical support in Malaysia run through Synchroweb and its certified partners. A claim starts with a support request that includes your invoice and the device serial number.
  5. Whether you can buy it again. For a whole home or a project, the real question is not a single purchase but availability over time. A model you rely on should be one you can reorder.

Why the support path decides most of it

When a unit will not join a hub, a firmware update will not complete or a part fails, the question that matters is who in Malaysia has a reason to help. Aqara runs an Authorized Reseller and Retailer Program, and Synchroweb is the Malaysian distributor. That structure is what turns "local support" into a real arrangement rather than a phrase on a product page.

This page deliberately states no warranty duration, no return window and no service turnaround. Those vary by product and should be confirmed for the specific unit.

Three questions that settle most of it

Before you commit to a model, ask these.

  1. Is this exact model supplied in Malaysia? The answer is usually quick, and it changes what happens on the day something goes wrong.
  2. Does it work with the hub I already own? Compatibility varies by model, region and firmware.
  3. Can I order more of it in six months? For anything you plan to expand, repeatability matters more than any one purchase.

If you are fitting a whole home rather than a single device, send us the room list and we will confirm every model together. The complete smart home guide for Malaysia shows how to plan the whole system.

What this page does not claim

This is a guide to how to check, not a live stock list. Availability changes, so confirm the specific model with us on the day you order.

It states no price, no warranty duration, no return window and no service turnaround. It makes no claim about SIRIM, MTCE or other approval status for any model, which is a per-model check. And it does not say that any product is unavailable. For newer products it says that availability is not confirmed here and should be checked with us.
