Aqara FP2 vs FP1E vs FP300 vs FP400: Which Presence Sensor?
aqara fp2 vs fp400 compared with the FP1E and FP300: Wi-Fi or Zigbee or Thread, power, coverage, IP rating and what each one disables, as at Sept 2026.
Answer up front — "Aqara Wall Switch H2" is not a single product. It is a per-market family, and "H2 Pro" does not exist: the name returns zero results across all 1,440 product URLs on Aqara's own site, and direct probes of the expected pages return 404. Only two H2 variants publish readable text specifications, and both are US parts rated 120 VAC against a Malaysian 240 V supply, so voltage, certification and back-box fit must be confirmed before anything is ordered. The "Z1 Pro" is really the Smart Wall Switch Z1 Pro SEA, whose specification table is a PNG image with no machine-readable numbers behind it.
Most wall switch comparisons online start from the product name. That is the wrong place to start here, because the names themselves are the problem. Three of them — "Smart Wall Switch H2", "H2 Pro" and "Dual Mode Module Z1 Pro" — do not describe what you would actually be buying.
Aqara splits the H2 range by market, because a switch has to match the back box, the mains standard and the certification regime of the country it is sold in. The family is:
| Aqara H2 variant | Market | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Light Switch H2 EU | EU | On/off wall light switch |
| Light Switch H2 US | US | On/off wall light switch |
| Light Switch H2 Horizontal | — | Horizontal form factor |
| Dimmer Switch H2 EU | EU | Dimming wall switch |
| Dimmer Switch H2 US | US | Dimming wall switch |
| Shutter Switch H2 EU | EU | Blind / shutter control |
| Presence Switch H2 US | US | Wall switch with built-in mmWave |
| Wall Outlet H2 EU | EU | Wall socket |
| Wall Outlet H2 UK | UK | Wall socket |
Asking "which H2 should I buy" without saying which market the switch is for is an incomplete question. A US variant and an EU variant are not the same purchase.
There is no Aqara product called the H2 Pro. There is no H2 Pro page, no H2 Pro model number, and no H2 Pro entry in Aqara's own catalogue. If a listing, a video, or a chatbot answer has handed you an "Aqara Wall Switch H2 Pro", you are looking at a mistake — most often a confused reference to the Smart Wall Switch Z1 Pro SEA, which is a different product in a different range.
Aqara does not describe the Z1 Pro as a "dual mode module". The actual product is the Smart Wall Switch Z1 Pro SEA. We will come back to what is and is not published about it, because the honest answer is unusually little.
Several H2 specification tables on Aqara's site are published as PNG images rather than text. That means there is no machine-readable number for the EU and US dimmers, the shutter switch or the wall outlet — no voltage, no current rating, no dimensions that can be verified from Aqara's own page. Only these two variants have specifications published as text we can quote:
| Model | Protocols | Electrical | Physical |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light Switch H2 US (WS-K02E / K03E / K04E) | Thread + Zigbee + Bluetooth | 110–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, max 10 A resistive. Min 5 W no-neutral; unlimited with-neutral | 119 × 74 × 42 mm; 0~40 °C |
| Presence Switch H2 US (WS-K22D / K03D / K04D) | Thread + Zigbee + Bluetooth; built-in mmWave | 120 VAC, 60 Hz, max 10 A | 119 × 74 × 42 mm; 0~40 °C |
Two details apply to both and catch people out:
Note that the Presence Switch H2 US combines a wall switch and an mmWave presence sensor in one form factor. If presence sensing is what you are after, read our presence sensor comparison first, because that is a different decision with different trade-offs.
This is the point we will not soften.
The Light Switch H2 US is rated 110–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. The Presence Switch H2 US is rated 120 VAC at 60 Hz only. A Malaysian domestic supply is 240 V.
That means the Presence Switch H2 US, on the face of its own published rating, is not a 240 V part. It should not be assumed to drop into a Malaysian ceiling rose. Doing that is not a compatibility question, it is a safety question, and the consequences of getting it wrong are not a failed automation — they are a device and a fitting that are being asked to carry voltage they were not rated for.

The product exists. Here is what Aqara publishes about it:
/en/product/z1-pro-sea/ returns a 404 error. The page it points at does not resolve. We are not going to fill those gaps with figures from a retailer listing, a forum post or a guess. If we cannot source a number from Aqara, we would rather tell you it is unverified than hand you a specification that cannot be traced.
What that means practically: the Z1 Pro SEA is a product you should confirm before ordering — fit, electrical rating, protocol and regional approval all need to be checked against the actual unit in your hand, not against a marketing image. This is the single most important point on this page.
Aqara has no Malaysia or SEA regional site. Its published regions are Germany, Europe, English, Japan, Russia and the US. SEA-market SKUs — the Z1 Pro SEA, Curtain Controller SEA, 20A Wall Switch SEA and MagicPad S1 Plus SEA ME — exist only under the English site.
That matters for two reasons. First, an English-language page is not a statement of Malaysian approval. Second, a SEA-market SKU may carry different certification or approval status than the EU or US unit sharing the same product name. Check SIRIM / MTCE approval per SKU, not per product name.
There is also a support dimension: a unit sourced outside the Malaysian channel may not pair to your region cleanly, and has no local support path when it fails. Our guide to buying Aqara in Malaysia safely explains how to check.
Two facts decide most switch purchases in Malaysia, and neither is about the switch. The first is whether your wall box has a neutral wire — it decides whether a no-neutral device is workable or whether you are looking at a rewire. The second is whether the load you are switching is something the switch can handle.
Start with does your house have a neutral wire?, because if the answer is no, the product comparison is the wrong conversation. No-neutral rewiring and relay module options covers the two routes when it is not.
Book a site survey with the team and we will check your back box, confirm your neutral, identify what you are switching, and tell you which specific SKU is suitable — or tell you honestly that none of them is.
