Aqara Trade Pricing, Warranty and After-Sales for Partners

An installer partner's desk with a printed device schedule, a warranty contact card and a support request form laid out ready for a site job

Answer up front — This page describes the structure of the Synchroweb installer partner programme: local stock, a local warranty path, a local person to call, technical support, and partner pricing. It deliberately publishes no discount figures, tier names, margins, warranty durations, credit terms or replacement turnaround times. Partner pricing and terms are provided to registered partners through the programme, in writing.

That is deliberate. A blog post is the worst place for a commercial term: clients read it, quote from it, and hold you to a number that was never a commitment. So this page tells you what the programme is for, and what to ask for when you join.

What the programme is actually for

Every distributor claims local support. Very few can tell you what it changes on a Tuesday evening when a client is standing in a hallway waiting. Here is what "local" means, for an installer in Malaysia.

What the programme gives youWhat it means in practice on a jobWhat it saves you
Local stockThe device is in the country, not on a freight forwarder's manifestA finished house sitting with bare wall plates for a client who has already paid for the fit-out
A local warranty pathA claim handled in Malaysia, in Malaysian time, through a named routeThe long email exchange to an overseas address that you end up absorbing as your own cost
A local person to callSomeone who knows the Malaysian range and the local wiring problemsGuessing — and being the only person who can service what you installed, one bad support experience away from being the person nobody recommends
Technical supportSomeone to take a specific question about a specific device and give a specific answerGoing back to the client three times and losing your margin on the trips
Current partner pricingPrices issued directly, in writing, so your quote matches a real number on the day you send itA quote built on a remembered figure that the client checks and does not accept

That last row is why partner pricing is a direct arrangement and not a page on a website. A current price list is useful. A stale one is a liability, and it is your name on the quote.

What this page does not publish, and why

These come from Synchroweb in writing, on your partner account, and nowhere else:

  • Partner pricing and discount structure. Prices move, and a published figure is either out of date or a commitment nobody intended.
  • Tier names. If the programme has tiers, you will be told which one applies to you and what it includes.
  • Margins. Your selling price is your decision. We do not set it, and we do not imply it in a blog.
  • Warranty terms. These are specific to the product. Ask for the terms that apply to what you install.
  • Credit and payment terms. These sit between the distributor and your business, in a signed arrangement.
  • Replacement turnaround times. They vary with stock and with what has to come from the manufacturer. Ask for the current position, and hold the client to a date you control — your installation date, not a warehouse promise.
  • Promotions and schemes. When they exist, they are announced in writing, with dates and conditions, through the partner channel.

The reason is not caution for its own sake. A partner who quotes from a blog post ends up with a quote nobody can honour and a client who feels misled. The terms have to come from the team, in writing, and they will.

How to get the current terms

Straightforward, and worth doing before you quote your first job on Aqara hardware.

  1. Apply for the installer partner programme. The team comes back with what is involved.
  2. Ask for the current partner price list in writing, in a format you can put straight into a quote.
  3. Ask for the warranty route in writing: what a claim looks like, what you send, and to whom. Get this before you need it, not during your first failure.
  4. Ask what the payment terms are and what the account setup requires.
  5. Ask about the stock position on the devices you install most, and how often the price list is refreshed.

Synchroweb is the official Aqara distributor in Malaysia and works with certified installer partners. The stock, the warranty path and the support all run through that one relationship.

On quoting. Keep the device figures and the labour figures separate in every quote. Device prices never include labour, chasing, back boxes, first fix or commissioning, and a client who can see both numbers argues less about either. Quoting a smart home project covers the structure.

When something fails in the field

This is the part that saves you the callback. Many "faults" that reach a distributor are not faults — they are a battery, a hub placed badly, or a load that was never suitable. The real ones go nowhere fast if you arrive without the information.

Collect these before you escalate:

Collect thisWhy it matters
Model — the exact product name, not the familySingle Switch Module T1 (No Neutral) and Smart Wall Switch Z1 Pro are different devices with different requirements. "An Aqara switch" helps nobody
Serial numberWithout it, a warranty claim cannot start. Photograph the label before you fit it, every time
Which hub — the model, and where it isMany "offline" problems are a hub placement or range problem, not a device problem. Know it before you claim
App versionBehaviour that changed between versions gets misreported as a faulty device. This is a commonly missed item
What happened, and whenThe sequence, not the summary. "It worked for a month, then the hallway sensor stopped reporting, and it was after the router was replaced" is a solvable problem. "Sensor not working" is not
The install contextBox depth, whether a neutral was present, what load is on the circuit, whether it is battery or mains

Two habits make this automatic rather than a scramble: photograph the serial label and the install position at the point of fitting — ten seconds, and the difference between a claim that moves and one that stalls — and test before you leave the site, on the client's phone, with the client watching. The test list is in commissioning and handover testing.

And check the three non-faults first, because they come back most often:

  • A flat battery, or a battery device fitted with the tab still in.
  • A hub that cannot reach the room — behind a metal cupboard, on the wrong floor, or behind a new wall. Signal is a design decision, made at survey. Why your smart device keeps dropping off is a useful page to send the client.
  • A load the device was never meant to switch — a marginal LED driver, or a lighting device on a 20A load. Neither is a warranty claim, and both are a conversation you should have had at the survey.

What the programme is worth to your business

The honest version: the value is not only the price. It is that you can promise a client a local warranty path and a local person to call and mean it, and you can still service what you installed six months later instead of sending the client to someone else.

That is what a competitor relying on grey imports cannot offer, and it is what wins the referral — which, in this trade, is the marketing that works. Becoming an Aqara installer in Malaysia covers the arrangement from your side; the compliance baseline — SIRIM labels, Energy Commission approval, registered wireman requirements under Act 447 — is in SIRIM, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and PDPA compliance.
